Parvovirus dog disease is one of the most common infectious diseases of dogs. Dogs of all breeds are sensitive to the virus infection.
The disease can occur in dogs of all ages, but puppies are most often ill due to the absence or insufficiency of parvoviral antibodies. The virus has a particular affinity for epithelial and myocardial cells, which divide intensively in young organisms. The disease lasts several days and is accompanied by symptoms of vomiting and severe diarrhea leading to dehydration.
